Who we are

The story

We are Death: Bobby, David and Dannis Hackney, three brothers who formed the band in Detroit in 1971. David chose the name after our father's death, and we refused to change it, even when a record deal depended on it. Our 1975 recordings finally came out in 2009, and the documentary A Band Called Death told our story in 2012. This store puts that story on tees, hoodies and sweatshirts.
